Crown Reduction in Phoenix
Crown reduction shortens the reach of a canopy that has grown into the house, the wall, or the lines. We cut back to a healthy side branch. We do not top the tree. We guarantee a professional job. We do not guarantee the tree.

Smaller on purpose, still in balance.

Reduction is how a tree that outgrew its spot gets brought back without being hacked. It is easiest while the tree is young, and it is still worth doing on a mature tree leaning on the roof. Each cut ends at a side branch that can take over the lead. Topping, the flat cut across a limb, invites weak sprouts and decay. It is not a service we sell.
Clearance, with the structure left intact.
The tree gets smaller. It does not get a crew cut.

Off the house. Branches come back from the roof, the walls, and the eaves so they are not resting on the structure.
Less storm leverage. A shorter, lighter limb has less reach when the wind picks up.
Useful early or late. Young trees are easier to train. Mature trees that have already outgrown the lot can still be reduced.
No topping. Cuts end at a living side branch. A flat top is how trees fail early, and we will not do it.

The standard on this work.
How the visit actually runs, from the first look at the tree to the cleanup.

Our promise
Off the house
Branches come back from the roof, the walls, and the eaves so they are not resting on the structure.

Our promise
Cleanup is part of the job.
Brush, fronds, and chips leave with us. Beds and hardscape are walkable when the crew is gone.

Our promise
We guarantee the job, not the tree.
Living trees, palms, and cactus fail for reasons no crew controls. We stand behind a professional job and work meant to help the yard thrive. We do not warranty the plant.

Our promise
Less storm leverage
A shorter, lighter limb has less reach when the wind picks up.
Clearance first, then a canopy that still looks like a tree.
You should be able to see the gap between the foliage and the roof when we leave.
- 01
Measure the conflict
We look at where the canopy hits the house, the wall, the lines, and the neighbors.
- 02
Plan the new outline
We decide how far back the crown can come and still keep a balanced shape.
- 03
Cut to a lateral
Each reduction cut ends at a side branch. Debris is hauled the same day.
- 04
Say what to watch
We will tell you how the tree may respond next season. That is guidance, not a warranty.

The same crew and the same standard of work. Choose the service that fits what your tree needs.

Crown thinning
Trimming technique
Selective cuts through the outer canopy so light and air move through the tree, and the plants underneath get a chance to thrive.

Crown elevation
Trimming technique
Raises the canopy by taking off the lowest limbs, so walks, drives, and the plants at the base get light and room.

Deadwooding
Trimming technique
Takes the dead limbs out of the canopy before a monsoon drops them on the patio, the roof, or the walk.

Tree removal
Tree care
Sectional takedown when a tree is split, hollow, leaning on the house, or simply too large for the lot.

Questions before we bring a tree back.
If yours is not below, the answer is one phone call away.
Do you warranty this work?
No. There is no warranty or guarantee on the living tree, palm, or cactus. Storms, disease, soil, and the plant's history are outside anyone's control. What we guarantee is a professional job and work aimed at helping your yard thrive. Is reduction the same as topping?
No. Topping chops a limb flat and leaves a stub. Reduction shortens the limb back to a side branch that can carry on. Topping is not something we do.Can you keep the tree off my roof?
That is the usual reason to reduce. We bring the canopy back so it is clear of the tile, the walls, and the lines, and we leave the tree in balance.Should this have been done when the tree was small?
It is easier then, and we are happy to train a young tree. A mature tree that is already on the house can still be reduced. We will tell you if it is too far gone and removal is the honest call.
